Description
Multi purpose wide angle eyepieces, suitable for almost all astronomical telescopes, for many applications:
- Lunar and Planetary Observing: Through many details in the design the contrast has been maximized for excellent visibility of fine detail on the moon and on the planets. Ghost images and internal reflections are effectively suppressed. The long eye relief allows for long-term observing without tiring your eyes.
- Deep Sky Observing: A high grade multicoating minimizes reflection losses of light and offers excellent transmission. This is particularly important on faint objects that might be completely invisible in eyepieces with more lenses due to the resulting darker image. The large field of view is also very convenient for observing extended objects at high magnification.
- Astro Imaging: The SWM is also well suited for projection astro imaging, both for classical eyepiece projection with SLR cameras and also for projection for compact digital cameras with integrated objective lens. For this application the large exit lens of the SWM eyepiece is an important feature!

TSSWM eyepieces can be used on telescopes as fast as f/4.5 with reasonable image sharpness. From f/5 onwards field sharpness will bevery good and can be recommended without reservations.
